Referrals Revisited

Referrals. They are how you found that great hairstylist or reliable plumber because your friend slipped you a business card and saved the day.

Any real estate broker will tell you, “Referrals are an important part of my business,” and it’s true! Most real estate transactions have two interested parties, and most buyers and sellers are represented by different brokers, which means we have a unique opportunity to work with our competitors as colleagues to help facilitate a sale. We see how motivated they are and what lengths they go to on behalf of their clients. Whether they know the market and guide their sellers in pricing their homes appropriately or advise their buyers in making a credible offer.

When I learn of a friend or family member who is planning a move, I ask if I can help them find a realtor in their area to work with. It is part of my business to build my network of trusted realtors in Portland, Seattle and beyond that I can rely on to help you purchase or sell your home. My network also reciprocates referrals if an opportunity arises; if they are helping a client list their home in Portland so that they can move to Central Oregon, they know I’m happy to help!

If you or someone you know is planning an out-of area move, let’s connect! Finding the right real estate broker is key in helping you with one of the most significant decisions you’ll ever make.
